Dosing:
We recommend starting at the lowest dose x 2 weeks, if after 2 weeks you are not having side effects move up to the next dose.
You have the option of staying at your current dose or moving up. Many patients do very well on these lower dosages listed above and continue the same dose.
Once you have reached your goal weight, we recommend a maintenance dose of the lowest dose for at least 4 weeks. Some patients use a maintenance dose for up to 8 weeks

MEDICATION HOME DELIVERY:
NOTE: Pricing is per vial - NOT per month.
To calculate how long a vial will last - subtract your weekly dose from the total mg of the vial. For instance a 10mg vial of Tirzepatide will last 4 weeks if on a dose of 2.5mg (2.5mg x 4 = 10mg).
If you are just starting out - we recommend the 44mg vial from Southend (cost is round $75.00/week).
TIRZEPATIDE:

To calculate, take the dose you are on and subtract it from the total mg of the vial.
For instance: Tirzepatide 2.5mg x 2 weeks = 5.0mg
10mg vial – 5mg = 5mg this vial would last 4 weeks at the 2.5mg dose OR 2 weeks at 5mg
40mg vial dose of 5mg would last 8 weeks (5mg x 8 weeks = 40mg)
NOTE: We do not recommend using a vial beyond 8 weeks or beyond the best used date (BUD). To calculate weekly cost – divide the cost of the vial by 8 weeks.

What is Compounded GLP-1 Medications?
Science backed, medically approved.
At Sakura Skin we use the most up-to-date medical knowledge to give you the best results possible.
Compounded medications, such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, are created in a state Board of Pharmacy or FDA licensed compounding facility per a prescription from a licensed healthcare professional. Compounded drugs are required to exclusively use ingredients from FDA-licensed facilities, and test sterile compounds for potency, sterility, and purity.
While compounded drugs are legal, they do not undergo pre-market approval from the FDA as they are not made in large batches for the public. Compounded medications are made based on specific orders from a medical professional. Therefore, the dose, route of administration, and efficacy may differ from commercially available, brand-name drugs. Compounded medications are often less expensive than name-brand drugs.
Sakura Skin works exclusively with licensed sterile compounding pharmacies in the United States.

If needed, we will provide a letter to send to your insurance company and a showing that you paid out of pocket. WE WILL NOT, however, communicate in any way with insurance companies.
The insurance letter is your responsibility and serves as evidence of your treatment. We will not call, write, pre-certify, or make any contact with your insurance company. Any follow up letters from your insurance to us will be thrown away. If we receive a check from your insurance company, we will not cash it, but instead return it to the sender. Likewise, we will not mail it to you. We will not respond to any letters or calls from your insurance company.
For patients who have access to a Health Savings Account, you may pay for your treatment with that credit or debit card. This is the best idea for those patients who have an HSA as an option in their medical coverage.
